Refund Policy

The International Journal of Trends in Multidisciplinary strives to maintain the highest academic standards in the processing and publication of research. As significant editorial resources and manpower are engaged from the moment of manuscript acceptance to ensure professional publication quality, the following refund conditions are strictly applied.

1. General Refund Eligibility

• Stipulated Timeframe: Refund requests are accepted only if submitted within 2 business days (IST – Indian Standard Time) from the date of formal acceptance and before commencement of the production or formatting stage.
• Formal Application: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Editorial Office along with a valid justification and verifiable proof of payment.

2. International Refund Requests (Outside India)

• Variable Deduction Rates: Refund requests originating outside India are subject to variable deductions based on prevailing international exchange rates at the time of refund processing.
• Currency Fluctuations: The Journal shall not be responsible for any loss incurred due to currency exchange rate fluctuations between the date of payment and the date of refund.
• Transaction Fees: Any intermediary bank charges, wire transfer fees, or payment gateway surcharges shall be borne solely by the author.

3. Non-Refundable Conditions (Zero Refund)

The Journal enforces a strict No Refund Policy under the following circumstances:

• Fast-Track Publication: Manuscripts processed under fast-track or expedited publication models are not eligible for refunds, as editorial resources are allocated immediately upon submission.
• Post-Publication: Once a manuscript has been published online (Ahead of Print or Version of Record), no refund requests will be entertained under any circumstances, as the scholarly record is considered permanent.

4. Refund Stages & Process

i). Before Publication

• If a valid refund request is received within the stipulated timeframe after acceptance but prior to the layout and formatting stage, a partial refund may be considered.
• Mandatory Deduction: All eligible refunds are subject to a variable deduction (starting from a minimum of 40%) to cover costs related to technical screening, plagiarism verification, peer-review coordination, manuscript polishing, metadata preparation, and DOI registration (if applicable).

ii). After Publication

• No refunds shall be provided after publication. This includes cases where an article is retracted due to confirmed research misconduct, plagiarism, or violations of the Journal’s Ethical Guidelines.

5. Wrongly Deposited or Extra Funds

In the event of an accidental overpayment or wrongly deposited transaction:

• Proof of Transaction: The author or remitter must submit original transaction receipts and bank-verified proof (transaction ID, bank receipt) within 5 business days.
• Processing: Upon successful verification, the excess amount will be refunded to the original payment source. Any administrative processing fees, bank charges, or currency conversion differences shall be borne by the remitter.

6. Publisher Rights & Legal Compliance

• Right to Refuse: The Publisher reserves the right to refuse any refund request found to be in violation of the Journal’s withdrawal or ethical policies.
• Policy Updates: The Publisher may revise this Refund Policy at any time to reflect changes in operational costs or legal requirements.
• Dispute Resolution: In case of any dispute, the Publisher’s decision—based on documented editorial effort and request timelines—shall be final and binding.
• Integrity Retention: The Publisher may retain records of all financial transactions and refund requests indefinitely as part of its legal defense and jurisdictional rights.
