Publication Ethics & Research Integrity

International Journal of Trends in Multidisciplinary strictly adheres to the Core Practices and Guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals by the ICMJE. All participants in the publication process—authors, editors and reviewers—are expected to uphold these standards.

Ethical Standards

  • Authorship: All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research. Plagiarism, data fabrication and redundant publication are strictly prohibited.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could bias their work.
  • Human/Animal Rights: Research must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki. Approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) and informed consent are mandatory.
  • AI Usage: Generative AI may assist in language editing but cannot be used to generate data, results or serve as a listed author. All AI assistance must be disclosed.

Research Integrity (Zero Tolerance)

  • Plagiarism: All manuscripts are screened using proprietary/commercial software Turnitin. High similarity scores will result in immediate rejection. The journal will debar the guilty authors from publishing for the period of six months.
  • Data Transparency: Authors must be able to provide raw data if requested by editors during the review process.

Corrections & Retractions

  • If errors or misconduct are discovered post-publication, the journal will issue a formal correction or retraction in accordance with COPE Retraction Guidelines to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
